10kms away from the UNESCO Heritage Site Sun temple of Konark, Nature Camp Konark Retreat is a small river side retreat built by the help of the villagers of Khalakata Patna. This is also about 25 minutes drive from the world famous Jagannath temple, Puri, One of the Four Dhams of India. There are 8 Individual Swiss tents with a Dormitory to accommodate about 40-45 persons on sharing basis. We do have an Odiya Restaurant serving very traditional & authentic Odiya food only. We would welcome the travelers who are looking for a beautiful & peaceful vacation with nature. We offer a refreshing approach to tourism and located in a natural & picturesque part of Odisha offering Local activities & cuisine that are original to this locality. Our aim is to create awareness among travelers about genuine and sustainable green lodging. We are with a rural settings. All our Tents are Non Air Conditioned Tents. We don’t have TV in the rooms as well as Telephone Network is very slow & some times not available in this area, could be a blessing for the visitors who wants to be out of their daily tough job schedule & busy life style. We don’t have any evening cultural program. We expect our visitors to spend their time with the family knowing them, playing with them on the sands, walking on the river side holding the hand of their beloved ones, flying kites & running after the butter flies. Local villagers are trained to take care of your stay, cook the meal for you & assist you during the visit. Expecting hotel type stay in our camp would be a disaster of your planning. Be in our camp with yourself only. Staying with us is a different charm.
